Steps to Building a Successful Digital Marketing Tool
Below are the steps in order, that must be done to build a successful marketing site. Not a website, but a marketing tool that actually converts to $.
1. Dynamic site with the correct architecture – a perfect example is owning a Porsche with an Escort engine. It may look great, but it won’t perform.
A brand new site/domain if developed correctly should grade between 58-70 within 3 months, depending on how much effort or money you invest into it.

3. On Page SEO – ONE THOUGHT ONE PAGE!!!! Every 20 words should be a keyword, every 100 words an internal link. Don’t write it if you are not going to optimize it.
4. Off Page SEO – it is forever. Must be updated continually – this is a lifestyle, just like exercise. You can never quit, or your competitors will take over.
a. Customers, vendors, service providers and all potential business partners need to be in a csv file to be integrated in your social media sites.
b. Backlinks to your site from your social media sites, bookmarking, blogging, article and pr publishing, create backlinks, increasing your credibility with google. If you have optimized your content properly, and someone asks a question in google search, this can create a backlink to your site.
5. Build A Social Media Network- social media is a communication platform giving you the ability to talk to a lot of people at once. Did you know that more people check their FB account before their e-mails each day. Start with your friends and expand your network by leveraging theirs. BRING VALUE do not sell!
6. Publishing – Do not Sell, think of yourself as a publishing company – write what people want to read and be where they are.
7. Build traffic – learn how to communicate – what people want to know in the fewest number of words. Pictures and videos play a key role – it creates a personal touch, it is aligned with the way most people gain information today, and can be a very powerful selling tool. This is more important than any graphic design you can ever do. Real people more persuasive than a design
8. Give Value and Participate with others. Participation is just as important as posting. By contributing your name, brand and trust factor will increase dramatically. No-one wants to see promotional ads over and over again. Eventually you will be ignored entirely.
9. Convert – Now you have traffic you can concentrate on design. Now you know what people are interested in, it is time to build offers/promotions that will appeal to them.
10. Now it is time to start again = Build again – choose another product area, geographic area, target market etc. and keep doing it for each and every potential cash generator for your company.
11. And last but not least – Keep up with technology and psychological changes or you will become a dinosaur.
